The current order in the region and the Middle East is no longer functioning. This order continuously produces oppression and repression. Therefore, a fundamental transformation is being imposed.
The Kurdish nation, with millions of members, stands at the center of this transformation. The primary agenda of the four states in the region is the Kurds. This is a natural state of affairs.
On the one hand, Israel and the United States are shaping regional changes; on the other hand, a new process concerning the Kurds is underway in Turkey, while elsewhere efforts are being made to prevent the political transformation in favor of the Kurds.
In recent days, the Iranian state has carried out massacres against Kurds in Rojhilat Kurdistan, as well as in Ilam, Kermanshah, and Lorestan. Meanwhile, pressure on the Kurds in Syria continues to increase.
As the Lausanne Kurdish Institute, which is founded on the principles of the right to self-determination and sovereignty for the Kurdish people, we call on the world to take a stand against the threats facing the Kurds.
The Kurds do not want more than anyone else has taken, nor will they accept less than anyone else has taken. Unless full equality is achieved in every respect, peace and justice in the region are not possible.
