As the Lausanne Kurdish Institute, grounded in the principle of the Kurds' right to self-determination, we make the following call to the international public, primarily the United States and France:
1- All necessary measures must be taken urgently to prevent a humanitarian tragedy and further civilian deaths in the Rojava Kurdistan region of Syria.
2- Civilians must be kept away from conflict zones.
3- Syria's democratization is not possible in the short and medium term. Therefore, in order to protect the rights of ethnic and religious groups, a federal system must be established in Syria.
4- In the Rojava Kurdistan region, a Kurdish administration should be established not on a party basis but on the basis of national rights, and this administration should become part of Syria's federal system.
5- The suppression of the Kurds through violence may appear to be a solution in the short term, but in the medium and long term it will lead to deepening of the existing crisis. History will repeat itself.
Respectfully submitted to all parties and the public.
